Are you using wireless at home or at work?
Did you install it yourself?
Did you know that the "out of the box" settings on the vast majority of wireless access points are completely open and in no way secure?
Did you know that this means anyone - from your neighbours to someone driving past can connect to your network? It gets scarier too because not only can they use your internet connection - they have full access to your network and any PCs or printers you have connected.
They can potentially download way more than your monthly quota, they could download illegal material or they could steal data from your computers.
It doesn't have to be that way.
Your wireless device will have arrived with either a manual or a CD containing setup instructions. Make sure you enable wireless security. WEP is not good enough. You need to enable WPA2. You should be able to do this yourself as it's designed to be relatively easy, but if you are having a problem, don't just leave it unprotected, give us a call and we'll sort it out for you.
We can even do it remotely. We're just a phone call away.
